I was lucky to have been taught that people would save me, so I never looked at anyone as a competitor or an enemy or a problem. Everyone I’ve met has been someone who could make for a good experience, whether it was on the bus or in a work situation or as a student or as a friend. I show up expecting good of people, and I have never been disappointed. I’m not saying there aren’t unpleasant people in the world, but I use the same level of imagination I use in acting to make myself believe that I never met or saw or heard that person. All of us can decide not so much who exists in the world, but who resides in ours.
